This is a sad audience. How can you believe in preemptive war and in the Golden Rule?
These confused dissenters would have made great Nazis. Doublethink is the ability to hold two conflicting facts in ones mind at once.
If you call yourself a Christian, but boo a reference to the Golden Rule, you’re a doublethinker and thus, potentially a perfect Nazi.

My friend says there is a lot of evil in the world.

When we close the fear, we literally block evil from entering into our reality.

Angelo Bowers got hit by a drunk driver last night, and he died.
I knew Angelo just as a welcome face in a crowd of comics vying for stage time at the comedy store.
What impressed me about Angelo is that he kept showing up for years, not complaining, smiling and working on new material.
The dude was real.
He didn’t have a facebook profile, and he didn’t put footage of himself online.
His goal was simply to light up Hollywood clubs with hilarious laughter and go from there.
He wasn’t a career actor/comedian, but a dude that loved to do standup comedy and was good at it.
His only standup video online was put there by a fan, who was looking for his name.

I’m sure everybody is going to turn this into a “stop drunk drivers” campaign, but let’s not forget Angelo.
Angelo would not want our memory of him to show up in the form of “Hey, don’t drink and drive, you jerks.”
He’d want us to laugh and tell his jokes. At least that’s my impression. I barely knew him, and I wish I’d gotten to know him more while I had the short privilege of communicating with his physical form.

Angelo, I’ll look for you in the things I see around me.

I saw this tweet saying Vaclav Havel died, so I asked myself
“Who the hell is Vaclav Havel?”
Then
“How can your name start AND end with a V.”
Then

And
started reading at some random sentence midway through his life’s work.

It said…
